Today I spoke with AMDunes about his fear of when he went into a cave and found himself feeling alone and in the complete darkness. It was a physiological scare where he realized that the feeling of being in a confined space, lost in a cave in the pitch black was a phobia and a tormenting one at that. The interesting thing about caves are the symbolism - we all enter our own caves to face our own dragons. Caves hold the things we are scared of and until we enter and face these things they will always be there, beckoning and haunting what we have yet to confront. When I asked AMDunes if he was glad that he went into the cave and at least had an opportunity to experience his fear and he said he was glad that he did it and now he knows.
