A.   The two as they offer sacrifices

1.     Abel brought a sacrifice according to God’s instruction and example

2.    Abel said, “I’m guilty.”

3.   Cain: No blood for him

B.   The first sacrifice accepted

1.    A voice from heaven

2.   A vision in the night

3.   Fire sent down from heaven to consume the sacrifice

4. Through inward peace

C.  Abel’s persecuted, Cain penalized

D.  Abel experienced the bitterness of death. Cain experienced the rejection of God.

E. Abel first to go to paradise.
