Acadia Healthcare, a Tennessee-based behavioral health services provider, reported a third-quarter profit of $36.2 million, or $0.40 per share, surpassing Wall Streets expectations of $0.67 per share. The companys revenue also exceeded estimates, totaling $851.6 million. Looking ahead, Acadia Healthcare projects full-year earnings between $2.35 and $2.45 per share and revenue between $3.28 billion and $3.3 billion. Despite the strong quarterly performance, the companys shares have dropped by 48% since the beginning of the year, closing at $20.68.
