Today’s prayer is Actiones nostras, a beautiful traditional prayer asking God to direct and sustain all our actions.
According to the Manual of Indulgences (1999), a partial indulgence is granted to the faithful who devoutly recite a legitimately approved prayer of supplication and thanksgiving at the beginning and end of the day, when starting or completing work, or before and after meals.
This prayer, found in the Roman Missal and the Liturgy of the Hours, asks the Lord to guide every word and work, so that all we do may begin with His inspiration and be brought to completion by His grace.
