Michael was born in Germany and adopted at birth by an American woman. He shares about his life growing up with 9 siblings, an abusive step-father and an incredible mother, and how those things shaped him into the person he is today. He did, in fact, eventually meet his birth mother, and she was in the last place he ever would have expected.
