Ro: Adrian privea pe fereastra autobuzului școlar cum frunzele ruginii de toamnă se adunau la bazele copacilor.
En: Adrian looked out the window of the school bus as the rust-colored autumn leaves gathered at the bases of the trees.

Ro: Azi, avea să-și petreacă ziua la Muzeul de Istorie Naturală Antipa, locul său preferat.
En: Today, he was going to spend the day at the Antipa Natural History Museum, his favorite place.

Ro: În mintea lui, repeta în taină un plan.
En: In his mind, he was secretly rehearsing a plan.

Ro: Planul lui era să petreacă mai mult timp cu Ioana, colega de clasă pe care o admira.
En: His plan was to spend more time with Ioana, the classmate he admired.

Ro: Îi plăcea tare mult cum vorbea despre știință cu pasiune și încredere.
