तमिल नाडु

तमिलनाडु राज्य भारत के सुदूर दक्षिण में स्थित है। यह अपने मनोरम नैसर्गिक सुंदरता और त्यौहारों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है|
तमिलनाडु के त्यौहार आम तौर पर क्रषि कार्यो पर आधारित है| यह ग्रहों व तारों की स्थिति के अनुसार मनाए जाते है। जनवरी माह में मनाया जाने वाला पोंगल तमिलनाडु के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों में से एक है| इस दिन लोग नये साल का आरंभ रंग और उमंग के साथ करते है। चार दिन के अन्तराल मनाए जाने वाला यह पर्व फसल के काटे जाने पर मनाया जाता है।
त्यौहारों के साथ साथ यहाँ का नैसर्गिक सौंदर्य भी दर्शनीय है| कन्याकुमारी , जो तमिलनाडू के दक्षिण तट में स्थित है, अपने विवेकानंद शिला और गाँधी मंडप के लिए मशहूर है| यहाँ पर अरब सागर, बंगाल की खाड़ी और हिंद महासागर के संगम से तीन रंग का पानी एक ही जगह दिखाई देता है। हिंदुओं के चार पवित्र धामो में से एक रामेंश्वरम् भी यहीं कन्याकुमारी से थोड़ी ही दूर पर है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि भगवान राम ने नल और नील की सहायता से यही से लंका तक पत्थरों की सेतु का निर्माण किया था| उसी सेतु के अंश आज भी यहाँ पानी में तैरते हुए दिखाई देते है|
कोडाइकनाल, कूनोर, ऊटी, येलागिरी यहाँ के कई सुंदर पर्यटक स्थलों में से है| निलगिरी, पलानी, कोल्ली पर्वत घने जंगलों और वन्य जीवन से प्रचुर हैं| चेन्नई का मरीना बीच विश्व के सब से लंबे समुद्र तटों में से एक है|
तमिल नाडु केवल अपने सौंदर्य के लिए ही नहीं बल्कि अपने विविध स्वादिष्ट पकवानों के लिए भी मशहूर है| रसम-चावल, अवियल, पोरियल, अप्पलम, सम्बार-चावल यहाँ के कई विशिष्ट खाद्य पधार्थों में से है जो केले के पत्तियों पर परोसे जाते है| यहाँ का हलवा और पंचामिर्थम हर एक को पसंद आता है|

Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu state is located in the southern region of India. It is famous for its captivating natural beauty and festivals.
The festivals in Tamil Nadu are mainly based on agricultural activities. They are celebrated according to the position of the planets and stars. Pongal, which is celebrated in the month of January, is the most important festival of Tamil Nadu. On this day people celebrate the beginning of the New Year with color and joy. This festival is spread over four days and is celebrated after the crops are harvested.
Apart from the festivals Tamil Nadu is also famous for its beautiful scenery. Kanyakumari, which is located on the south coast of Tamil Nadu, is famous for its Vivekanand Rock Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam. The Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean meet here and you can see three colors of water in one place. One of the four Hindu holy places, Rameshvaram, is located a few kilometers from Kanyakumari. It is said that Lord Rama, with the help of Nal and Neel, built a stone bridge from here to Lanka. The remains of this bridge can still be found floating in the water.
Kodaikanal, Kunoor, Ooty, and Yelagiri are a few of the famous tourist places in Tamil Nadu. The Nilgiri, Palani, and Kolli mountains are abound in dense jungles and wildlife. The Marina Beach in Chennai is one of the longest beaches in the world.
Tamil Nadu is not just famous for its natural beauty but also for its delicious food varities. Rasam-rice, Aviyal, Poriyal, Appalam, and Sambar-rice are few of the delicacies of this state. The Halwa and Panchamritam are also liked by one and all.
