Chad's government has reiterated its order for French troops to completely withdraw from the country before the end of this month, after French President Emmanuel Macron said African countries are ungrateful for France's role in fighting militant insurgencies. The United States says it has determined Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Force is committing genocide in the country's war, as Turkey steps up its efforts to mediate in a conflict that has regional influences.
