2. Madagascar- Antananarivo
Madagascar coup leader Michael Randrianirina names businessman as new Prime Minister.
Madagascar’s coup leader Colonel Michael Randrianirina named businessman Herintsalama Rajaonarivelo as the nation's new prime minister on Monday.
The new leader said he appointed Rajaonarivelo as head of government due to his experience and “connection with international organisations that work with us."
3. Zimbabwe – Harare
Zimbabwe ZANU-PF moves to extend President’s term
Zimbabwe’s governing ZANU-PF party has said it will begin steps to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term by two years, potentially keeping the 83-year-old leader in power until 2030.
