1.    Tanzania- Dar es Salaam

Counting got underway in Tanzania’s general elections yesterday following a tense day marred by violent protests, curfew regulations and internet cut.

 

  1. The Gambia- Equatorial Guinea 

The Gambian government has issued a stern warning to former exiled president Yahya Jammeh following his recent announcement that he was ready to return 'home'.

 

  1. Burkina Faso - Ouagadougou

Former South African President Jacob Zuma arrived in Ouagadougou yesterday to take part in an event for Afro-descendants.

According to the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), the event brings together political, cultural, and intellectual figures from across Africa and the diaspora to strengthen solidarity ties and promote the continent’s development.
