Agreements reached with four river users identified as impacted by proposed I-5 Bridge replacement
Description
Oregon and Washington officials have finalized agreements with four river users identified as being affected by a proposed 116-foot fixed-span replacement of the Interstate Bridge, allowing ODOT and WSDOT to submit an updated Navigation Impact Report to the U.S. Coast Guard for review. The agreements, valued at $140 million and payable only if a fixed-span permit is granted and construction begins, are intended to mitigate impacts and demonstrate continued commercial viability for affected users. The Program now awaits a revised Navigation Clearance Determination expected in early 2026. https://www.clarkcountytoday.com/news/agreements-reached-with-four-river-users-identified-as-impacted-by-proposed-i-5-bridge-replacement/ #InterstateBridgeReplacement #ColumbiaRiver #WashingtonTransportation #OregonTransportation #USCoastGuard #IBRProgram #WSDOT #ODOT
