Description

Born in China and now based in Austin, Texas, Alex Meng—better known as AeonCore— is a guitarist, songwriter, and software engineer carving his own path in the underground scene. By day, he writes code. By night, he transforms into AeonCore, blending progressive metal riffs with modern rap and trap influences. As a member of The Maremons, he channels inspiration from bands like Polyphia, Periphery, and Intervals into a sound that’s both technical and emotional.

In this episode of the Underground Nation Podcast, your host with the ghost Bounce Ball Boogie dives into AeonCore’s creative journey, the struggles of balancing music and career, and the drive to reinvest in his art. From gear and jam sessions to his vision for the future, AeonCore opens up about what it means to grind in today’s underground.

Stay tuned for exclusive music breaks, including “Evaporate” and “Surface Tension” with The Maremons, and find out why AeonCore is a name you’ll be hearing more of in the progressive music world.
