Our guest for the NEFA Coaches Corner in January is Alex Weaver who is the Under 18 Coach at FC Lausanne Sport in Switzerland.
After a career in youth football, he began his coaching career at 17 years of age. Alex worked for Manchester United soccer schools in the USA, France, Dubai, South Africa and India whilst completing his UEFA A licence and BSc Coaching Science degree.
He then had a stint in the USA with Seattle Wolves before moving to Singapore where he was Head Coach at Hougang United, before moving to Warriors FC who he led to the league title. His next journey was to Switzerland, where he has held a variety of roles such as Assistant Manager at FC Lausanne Sport, under 18 Coach at Grasshopper Zurich, and Head of Academy at FC Basel before returning to FC Lausanne Sport recently.
Alex is an UEFA Pro Licence holder and a follower of FCE Evolution Coach Educator Raymond Verheijen.
