God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.....for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (John 4:23 /24)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8/9)

So often the worship of God in churches today bears as little resemblance to true worship as the worship of the Golden Calf in the wilderness did to the worship commanded and ordained by God, in the Tabernacle.
