Being smart about your habits > straight up grit and willpower. We have to trick our brains to think how we want it to think. We have to make it easier for us to complete our good habits and resist our bad habits. Being prodcutive is a constant fight with your inner self, the inner self that wants to lay down, play video games or watch movies and drink a beer at noon, people often set up systems hoping that once it's set they'll be done with the "fighting", and 2 weeks later they fogret the mindset the had at the beggining and start doubting they own "system" - flush and repeat ; not to mention we're humans, we've got feelings and need to take care of these.
