Description

Max and Paul are on a quest: What is the ultimate drivetrain for a Rolls Royce?

The enthousiasm for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) cooled down a little in the last couple of years. Rolls Royce was however the first to introduce a super luxury vehicle with a big battery. The Brits were going all-in with the Spectre in 2024, instant power with 585 PS and 900 Nm of torque.

They also just launched the renewed Ghost II with its magnificant 6.75 l twin turbo V12 with a lazy 563 pk and 850 Nm of torque which they further enhanced to make it if more  seamless.

What do you choose?

Paul van Splunteren (1957) has over 40 years of experience in the automotive industry and was responsible for Porsche at the Dutch importer Pon for many years. If there is a discussion about cars it is not complete without his opinion – which he regularly shares with you in the "Even Rijden Met" podcast.

Max van Splunteren (1995), Paul’s son, is not only an experienced Porsche Supercup driver but also a tech enthusiast with a background in Aerospace Engineering. In the podcast, he shares his technical insights and passion for speed.

Upon request of international friends we have decided to make a couple of podcasts in English/American (although with subtitles on YouTube!).It felt very apropriate during our speeddates in the US with three sets of cars.
