This is the story of Ann Patchett's speech for an incoming class at Clemson University, the story of Ann Patchett's friendship with a "complicated and brilliant" writer. The story of the book that Ann wrote to honour her friend's memory. The story of how that book was targetted for "corrupting" young minds. Long story short, go pick up an Ann Patchett book.
