Are employees commodities? They sure are being treated that way across the world by corporates. I understand recessions and hard times, but the slew of layoffs is unheard of. You need to understand that people work so they can buy and live. If you get people off work, who will buy? And, the cycle goes downhill from there. Also, where's all the talk about culture, productivity, and growth? Where's the sense of employee loyalty when employer loyalty is expected? I could go on and on.
