Are we nearing an age of Autarky?
Update: 2020-08-16
Description
Autarky is a characteristic of self sufficiency usually used to describe societies, countries and various economic systems. This is a very erudite topic, which we aimed to simplify. We explore if we have reached some form of autarky during this pandemic, and discuss the effect it would have on our life if this fantasy becomes reality.
We use analogies to determine if autarky can be beneficial, and if at all it can be executed. Even though this is a very serious topic, we use the analogy of a zombie apocalypse and quarantining, and debate if living in autarky can be considered sustainable living in some ways.
