Low risk of harm, but advised to remove contaminated sand and avoid contact. Ministerial declaration classifies sand removal as minor work, allowing trained individuals to handle it. ACT Education Directorate contracted licensed asbestos removalists to remove sand from schools, with additional contaminated sand to be promptly removed if found.
