The composition and structure of nascent planets are largely dependent on their forming disk, which hosts rich organic chemistry. In this podcast episode, we are fortunate to have our guest speaker, Karin Oberg, a Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University and the leader of the Oberg Astrochemistry Group at the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics.
Today, Professor Oberg will be talking about her research pertaining to the astrochemistry of nascent planets and their impact on planet formation. At the end of this talk, we’ll be exploring the compatibility between her faith and her work as a scientist.
