Founded in 1959 by Jay Van Andel and Richard DeVos (yes,, that DeVos) it is considered an MLM that sells health, beauty, and home care products. While MLM is legal, Pyramids are not. If a multi-level marketing organizations places greater incentives for recruitment than product sales run,,, runaway.

While not as popular as it once was, influence can still be felt. Tonight Morgan, Deb, and Beth are going to take a look at Amway and attempt to unpack exactly what Amway is or isn't. Does the
promotion of Christian conservative ideology go further than just the founding families? What about allegations that some Amway distributor groups have been accused of using "cult-like" tactics to
attract new distributors and keep them involved and committed?
