This week on The Emo Hour, Katie and Nani are deep in their feels (what else is new?) as they kick things off with what's making them emo lately. Katie shares some tender and pride-inducing moments from being on a lakeside vacation and seeing her daughter really thrive in the water—cue the acoustic guitar strumming softly in the background. 🌊💔

But emotions really run high when the duo dives into the news that broke the internet: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged! 💍🏈 They speculate wildly (and hilariously) about when, where, and how it all went down—were the photos staged?  When did it happen?  Are people getting a little too excited about people they don't know getting engaged?

Then it's time for the August 2025 Emo News Roundup: tours, new music drops, and—most importantly—the lineup for the Jonas Brothers Tour that has emo kids everywhere black eyeliner-sobbing with joy. Yes, you heard right: The All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls are opening, and surprise guests like Cartel, All Time Low, and Dashboard Confessional are popping in to shatter hearts nightly. 🖤 But the biggest plot twist in the scene? Davey Havok (of AFI fame) shows up looking like he just spent a week chasing jam bands in the woods—what happened to the eyeliner king?! 😱

They close out the episode with the ever-moody “Emo Lyrics of the Day” featuring lines from Yungblud and Dashboard Confessional—because obviously, we’re all still screaming infidelities.
