Australia braces for a scorching heatwave, with temperatures soaring in Western Australia, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, and Queensland. Perth and some northern areas of Western Australia are expected to reach forty degrees Celsius. Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne will experience highs in the low to mid-thirties, while Queensland will see temperatures rise into the low to mid-thirties from Friday onwards. Storms are also expected in Central Australia and southeastern Australia.
