2009年阿里山茶山部落受莫拉克颱風侵襲，整個部落遭受重創、滿目瘡痍；10餘年後在部落族人與多方機關團體努力下，青年回流、產業升級，茶山特有的涼亭文化也得以保存及發展，甚至在行政院「金牌農村競賽」的評比中脫穎而出，拿到「金牌農村」的殊榮！嘉義縣茶山部落產業社區合作社的秘書田佳玲說，年輕人回到部落，部落才有生機。如今的茶山已經成為深度旅行愛好者不可錯過的山村，歡迎更多遊客來感受茶山特殊的文化與分享的喜悅。
