Arizona State FINALLY Knocks Off a Top Team: The Sun Devils, who had been a bit of a rollercoaster all season, pulled off the biggest stunner by beating No. 7 Texas Tech. The Red Raiders were looking like a clear title favorite, but the Sun Devils rallied late to hand them their first loss in a thriller. The field storming afterward was a perfect encapsulation of the upset.

Cincinnati Keeps Rolling in a Statement Win: The Bearcats cemented their position as a legitimate contender by dominating Baylor. They controlled the line of scrimmage, especially on the ground, and just completely shut down the Bears' high-powered offense. Cincinnati now sits atop the conference standings alongside BYU.

The Gritty Showdowns

BYU Escapes Iowa State in a Defensive Battle: The undefeated No. 11 BYU Cougars had a massive scare on the road in Ames. They fell behind early (down 24-10 at one point!) but their defense stepped up huge in the second half, forcing four Iowa State turnovers, including a pivotal pick-six late in the game. It wasn't pretty, but the 41-27 final score secured their perfect 8-0 record and kept them as the last undefeated team in the conference.

The Sunflower Showdown Thriller: The rivalry game between Kansas State and Kansas was an absolute barnburner, though the result didn't have the same high-ranking impact as the others.

The Standings are a Mess (in the best way)

This weekend's results basically threw the entire conference race wide open. Heading into the final month of the season, the standings are a chaotic picture:

BYU and Cincinnati are the only two teams left with a perfect conference record (5-0) or near-perfect (Cincinnati is 7-1 overall).

Texas Tech is now knocked off pace and joins Houston at 4-1.

A massive middle-of-the-pack includes TCU, Utah, Arizona State, and a surging Kansas State, all sitting at 3-2.

The entire league is now a wild free-for-all, with almost a third of the conference having a legitimate, if narrow, path to a Big 12 Championship game appearance. It's truly a chaotic, unpredictable November coming up!
