Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has reportedly demoted offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur following the Buffaloes’ disappointing 3-6 start to the 2025 season. The move comes after Colorado’s offense has struggled mightily, ranking near the bottom nationally in scoring and total yards. Shurmur, who was promoted to play-caller in 2023, will reportedly have his duties reduced as Sanders looks to shake things up for the final three games. With bowl eligibility still mathematically possible, Sanders is searching for a spark to salvage the season and reestablish momentum after high preseason expectations faded amid mounting losses and offensive inconsistency.
