Bad Calls From the Bible Today, we will launch a new, engaging sermon series following the theme of Bad Calls from the Bible. Just in time to ride the wave of all the controversial calls of March Madness, were going to be focusing on great women and men from the Bible and the bad calls, or poor decisions, that they made as well as how we can learn to avoid those same kind of mistakes in our own lives. Some heroes of the faith made binding vows and promises that they soon regretted; others made rash decisions on Gods behalf without first consulting God; and there were still others who allowed anger, jealousy, and impulsiveness to cloud their better judgment. The St. Andrew pastors will be going deep into the scriptures over the coming weeks to retell some of the important stories that we may have overlooked in our daily devotions. They will also point out some of the well-known contemporary people who have fallen into the same trap, and spend some time figuring out how to protect ourselves and our loved ones from making those same bad calls.
