Description

In this episode we seek to help you understand what's at stake with the ballot questions in the PA primaries on May 18. There are four ballot questions. Three of them are about potential constitutional amendments. The first two, though, are confusingly worded; and so we want to explain why it's a clear YES for both of them!

  • Here's an easy way to find what will on your ballot — https://www.ballotready.org/

  • Here's a concise explanation of the first two ballot questions from the PA House Republican Caucus — http://www.pahousegop.com/voiceofthepeople

  • Here's Brian Sauve's article on the cult of the experts we mentioned in the episode — https://crosspolitic.com/constitutional-law-the-cult-of-experts/

  • The law was written down—so that we can read it! A point which Doug Wilson makes concisely in this clip — https://fb.watch/5jYA51fFky/

  • Here's the article we mentioned on understanding legitimate and illegitimate governments and actions (https://dougwils.com/books-and-culture/s7-engaging-the-culture/illegitimate-times.html); but, really, this material is contained in a more recent article as well, which fleshes out the argument more fully, and really is worth your time — https://dougwils.com/books-and-culture/s7-engaging-the-culture/a-jehoiada-situation.html

When citizens legitimize the illegitimate actions of government, no one is following Romans 13.

That cool song, "Trouble" (used with permission), is from "The Chosen"—which you really should watch!
