Deborah Netolicky talks with Dr Barbara Watterston about leading and leadership in education, including mentoring, coaching, professional companioning and sponsoring. Barb is CEO of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) and has held several school and system leadership positions across Australia. She is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne Faculty of Education and a National Fellow of ACEL. Her expertise is regularly sought out to contribute in an advisory capacity as a member of numerous university, departmental, school, and professional boards. She is author of the report 'Insights: Environmental Scan Principal Preparation Programs' and the award-winning book 'Step In, Step Up: Empowering women for the school leadership journey'.
