Pick up a barbecue plate Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Blackhill Community Building, 2667 F.M. 478 west of Floresville, beginning at 11 a.m. The plate will include barbecue brisket and sausage, new potatoes, green beans, and trimmings for . Plates are available only for pick up by drive-through, which will continue until plates are sold out. Call Kim Lutz at 830-570-3320 for tickets. Funds raised from the plate sale will support the Blackhill Volunteer Fire Department.
