PROPHECY BOOTCAMP: Our topic for today is titled “Battle of Armageddon (Part 6)” from Dr. Ed Hindson’s book “Revelation: Unlocking the Future.”

— Seven Bowls of Wrath, Continued

The seven plagues, or seven bowls of wrath, descend upon the earth in rapid succession. Each bowl is poured out by a specific angel who is commanded by “a loud voice from the temple” to pour out the “wrath of God” on the earth.

The first bowl of wrath. The “loud voice” is not of an angel but appears to be the voice of God, as shown in Revelation 15:8, since no one—and that would include angels at this point—can enter the temple of the Lord. This is the same voice heard in Revelation 16:17 . When the first bowl of wrath is poured out on the earth, “a loathsome and malignant sore” comes upon all those who have aligned themselves with the beast by taking his mark and worshipping his image. The sores are ulcers, cancerous lesions, or suppurated wounds that infect everyone on earth except the righteous. Such running, puss-like ailments seem similar to other sores described in Scripture. The descriptions imply painful or agonizing ulcers that resist healing.
