At the moment, these two mega artists are being credited for the resurgence of House Music when that couldn't be further from reality. The truth is, House Music never went anywhere and has continued to be enjoyed throughout the world's clubs for decades since its introduction in the mid-80s. Like every musical genre — House Music has had its moments of commercial popularity before going back underground and then resurfacing again.







House Music was already having a major commercial impact in the UK with the massive remake of the Rufus & Chaka Khan 'Tell Me Something Good' by Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar. At this very moment, 'Afraid To Feel' by LF System is not only topping the Beatport charts but virtually every Spotify dance music list as well as peaking at #2 only being held back by the unexpected resurgence of the 80s alternative hit 'Running Up That Hill' by Kate Bush. As with most musical trends — The UK leads the way followed by Europe and then the rest of the world. Even without Beyonce and Drake entering the fray — House Music was already poised to make a comeback.
