Becoming a father - a Muslim father's perspective
Description
From marriage, to conception, to birth and beyond.
I start off this series from the core, with a one-to-one, deeply reflective experience of my husband’s steps to becoming a father.
This uniquely raw interview with my husband recounts his (our) personal journey into parenthood and captures the experience of becoming a father from a Muslim father’s perspective.
My husband became a father very quickly and at a young age. We found out that we had conceived a couple of weeks after marriage alhamdulilaah. He describes this and our subsequent swift conceptions as ‘quick blessings’.
Our firstborn was conceived abroad and the pregnancy was spent abroad until we returned to the UK when I was 7 months pregnant. All of our babies have been born in the UK, so far!
We are now making conscious plans for where and HOW our next baby(ies) will be born, in shaa Allah.
