Doctoral learning is a complex journey. It takes years of hard work and dedication by the student who needs to critically analyze, research and write the thesis for a successful completion. For the supervisor, however, it provides an opportunity to generate a career-ready graduate with wide variety of skillsets. Because of the pressure and perceived independence connected with this academic endeavor, students may find the journey lonely and unsatisfactory during certain situations.
