Like so many young men, including myself, founders of Life Jacket Skin thought they were indestructible. But then, several of their friends – all healthy and in their thirties, were hit by cancer. Including Jono, the co-founder.
Through the experience they learnt that skin cancer – the world’s most common cancer – had doubled since the 90s. It is forecasted to double again over the next 20 years. And yet, unlike other cancers, its 90% preventable.
From this they created LifeJacket, with the single vision of stopping the increase in skin cancer.
