BlackRock, a leading asset management firm, has submitted a proposal to the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a new investment product. This fund, named iShares Staked Ethereum Trust, would provide investors with indirect access to staked Ether, a type of cryptocurrency. If approved, it would be the first of its kind tied to staked cryptocurrencies and trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol E T H B. This move signifies BlackRocks expanding presence and growing acceptance of digital assets, as they already manage the largest spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund.
