National Guard troops are expected to be in Memphis by next Monday, according to Governor Bill Lee who held a press conference this morning. Some of the details are eyebrow raising: they won't be armed unless MPD requests it, they won't be arresting anyone, and the city will also be receiving a $100M grant for safety resources.
