This episode of "Bluey" is called "Obstgo Cours".
00:00:04
"Bluey and Dad are sitting on the floor in the foyer engaged in a game of snap."
00:00:09
"Dad always competitive wins yet another round."
00:00:12
"Snap!
00:00:13
Ha ha!
00:00:13
Yeah!" He exclaims, celebrating his victory.
00:00:17
"Bluey's size and frustration.
00:00:20
Oh, you win every time!" "Dad, without missing a beat, teases could you're too slow!" Watching from the comfort of the armchair, Mom is seated with Bingo on her lap.
00:00:32
Bingo notices her sister's frustration and chimes in, "You need to let Bluey win sometimes."
00:00:38
"But Dad remains unfazed."
00:00:40
"Why would I do that?"
00:00:42
he asks, clearly enjoying the challenge.
00:00:44
Mom, always the voice of reason suggests because she's a child?
00:00:50
Still, Dad stands firm, explaining to Bluey, "You don't want me to let you win, Bluey.
00:00:56
Trust me."
00:00:57
Bluey is confused and asked, "Why not?"
00:01:00
Dad explains that if he let her win all the time, she wouldn't try harder to improve.
00:01:05
"You'll give up trying to get better," he tells her.
00:01:08
Mom is now intrigued and picks up a nearby box of memory snap and raises an eyebrow.
00:01:14
"Care for a game of memory snap?"
00:01:16
she asks with a playful tone.
00:01:19
"Dad immediately protests.
00:01:21
No way, I hate memory snap."
00:01:24
Mom smiles knowingly, "And why is that?"
00:01:28
"Dad huffs because I lose every time."
00:01:31
As if to prove a point, Dad snaps the next card and triumphantly declares, "Snap ha ha!" He jumps up, "Wow, I'm like a mongoose!" he brags, making snatching gestures with his hands.
00:01:44
Bluey and Bingo giggle at his antics while Mom rolls her eyes.
00:01:48
"You're a goose, alright?"
00:01:50
she jokes.
00:01:52
Later that day, Mom, Bluey and Bingo set up a fun obstacle course in the backyard.
00:01:57
"Go, Bingo!" Mom cheers as Bingo tries to bounce over a yoga ball but falls back and laughter.
00:02:03
Bluey easily jumps over it, followed by sliding down a plastic slide with a loud, "Woo!" She weaves between garden gnomes, crawls under brooms and climbs through cardboard boxes.
00:02:15
Her determination is clear and her playful energy is infectious, as she yells, "Woohoo!" As they're enjoying themselves, Dad comes outside.
00:02:25
"Hey, have you seen my green ball?"
00:02:28
he asks, glancing at the setup, realizing they have the green ball.
00:02:34
Bluey proudly shows off the obstacle course they've made.
00:02:37
"Look, Dad, we set up an obstacle course!" she announces, beaming with pride.
00:02:42
Bingo, always ready for a challenge, asks, "Do you want to have a go?"
00:02:47
"Dad can't resist."
00:02:49
"Right, oh!
00:02:50
I'll race you!" he replies, getting into competitive mode.
00:02:55
Mom, however, steps in.
00:02:57
No one's racing anyone.
00:02:59
"This is just for having fun!" she insists.
00:03:02
Bingo echoes her mom, saying, "Yeah!
00:03:06
But Dad, never want to miss an opportunity for some friendly competition, starts clucking like a chicken, flapping his arms in mockery."
00:03:15
"Bah!" Bluey and Bingo look confused and ask, "Why is Dad acting like a chicken?"
00:03:24
Mom explains, "He's saying you're scared."
00:03:28
Bingo still puzzled, asks, "Of chickens?"
00:03:33
"Dad laughs and explains, "No, of racing me, don't you kids know what chicken means?"
00:03:39
But despite their contentment with having fun, Dad can't resist throwing in a tempting prize.
00:03:45
"When are get Sherbert?"
00:03:47
he says, raising the stakes.
00:03:48
"That's all, Bluey and Bingo need to hear, before they both squeal an excitement and shout, Sherbert!" The race is on.
00:03:56
Dad easily vaults over the yoga ball and takes an early lead.
00:04:00
He jumps over the slide and races through the course, calling out, "Ha ha!
00:04:04
I'm gonna flog ya!" Bluey and Bingo try to catch up, but Dad has already tagged the rope and crossed the finish line.
00:04:11
"Yes, Dad wins!" he declares triumphantly.
00:04:15
Bluey and Bingo groan, disappointed, but Mom stays positive.
00:04:19
"Well done," she says with a smile, though it's clear Dad's competitiveness is getting out of hand.
00:04:26
But Bluey is determined to do better and asks Mom for help.
00:04:30
"I want another race.
00:04:31
Can you help me beat Dad?"
00:04:33
She pleads.
00:04:34
Bingo is still eager for Sherbert and adds, "Yeah, I want Sherbert!" Mom sighs knowing Dad won't go easy on them.
00:04:42
"Okay, he won't let you win, though," she warns, but then gives Bluey a plan.
00:04:47
"There's only one thing you can do."
00:04:50
Bluey thinks for a moment and exclaims, "Cheat!" Mom quickly corrects her.
00:04:55
"No, I meant practice!" Bluey and Dad line up for the second race and this time, Bluey's ready with a cheeky strategy.
00:05:04
As they approach the broom late across the chairs, Bluey ducks under it with ease.
00:05:09
But Dad, much taller, finds himself stuck.
00:05:13
"Hey, what?
00:05:14
This wasn't this low before," Dad says, realizing that Bluey has intentionally replaced the obstacle, so only she would be able to fit under it.
00:05:25
Bluey turns and teases him as she jogs in place just out of reach.
00:05:30
"Ha ha, see ya!" she giggles before running ahead.
00:05:34
With Dad still wedged under the broom, Bluey crosses the finish line first.
00:05:39
Bluey cheers, "I won!" but there's something about the victory that doesn't feel quite right.
00:05:46
Dad, now free from his broom predicament approaches with a smirk.
00:05:50
"Well done, Bluey, you won!" He says sarcastically, emphasizing the hollow nature of her win.
00:05:58
Bluey looks at him, unsure how to feel.
00:06:01
After a moment, Bluey realizes that a win by cheating doesn't feel like a win at all.
00:06:06
"I think I want to beat Dad, fair and square," she says with newfound dignity.
00:06:12
Mom gets to helping Bluey train to beat Dad.
00:06:15
They practice jumping over the yoga ball, sliding down the slide without hesitation, and climbing the rope ladder with speed.
00:06:22
Mom encourages Bluey, shouting, "How fast can you run?"
00:06:26
Bluey responds proudly, "As fast as a greyhound!" Bingo times her sister with a stopwatch, "Cero!" They practice until Bluey is ready to race Dad again.
00:06:37
At the final race, Bluey and Dad line up at the starting line.
00:06:41
Dad, confident as always, analyzes the conditions.
00:06:44
"All right, wins are favorable."
00:06:47
"I've inspected the track this time.
00:06:49
No little surprises."
00:06:52
Bluey stays focused, remembering her training.
00:06:55
"As fast as a greyhound," she whispers to herself, ready to take on the challenge.
00:07:00
The race begins, and Bluey uses everything Mom taught her.
00:07:04
She leaps over obstacles with ease, slides down the slide, and dodges the gnomes.
00:07:09
This time, she stays ahead of Dad, who struggles to keep up.
00:07:13
Just as Bluey is about to win, Dad, in a last-ditch effort, grabs her from behind, pulling her back, and crosses the finish line first.
00:07:23
"What?"
00:07:25
was that.
00:07:26
Ask Mom, who is utterly stunned.
00:07:29
Dad tries to brush it off, looking a little guilty, but acting innocent.
00:07:34
"Yeah, I can't be sure."
00:07:37
Bingo wasn't about to let him get away with it.
00:07:40
"You cheated!" she declared, crossing her arms and frowning at Dad.
00:07:45
But Dad still wasn't ready to admit it.
00:07:48
"Ah, who can say for sure," he said with a shrug, "when the Mongoose is moving up full speed, you know.
00:07:54
It's all a bit of a blur."
00:07:56
Mom rolled her eyes, seeing right through Dad's excuse.
00:07:59
"I think the Mongoose couldn't handle losing to a child," she quipped.
00:08:04
Dad, now feeling the heat, offered a rematch.
00:08:08
"All right, all right, rematch, rematch," he said, pointing to each of them in turn eager to redeem himself.
00:08:14
But Bluey had a different idea in mind.
00:08:17
She wasn't interested in another race.
00:08:19
With a smug smile, she crossed her arms and declared, "Let's settle it with a game of memory snap."
00:08:27
Dad's face dropped as he realized what was coming.
00:08:31
"Oh, biscuits," he groaned, knowing full well that memory snap wasn't his strongest game.
00:08:37
And Bluey was excellent at it.
00:08:40
The memory snap game came to a quick end with Bluey dominating Dad.
00:08:45
"Draft, draft, monkey, monkey, eagle, eagle, greyhound, greyhound, I win!" She exclaims, celebrating her triumph.
00:08:52
Dad defeated groans and playful agony, as bingo tears and enjoys the sherbet.
00:09:00
The healers had started with an obstacle course, but the real lesson of the day was about practicing, trying your best, and the joy of winning fair and square.
