Austin was Selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (170th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, and is the leading scorer in FBS history with 499 career points. He is also ranked first among FBS kickers in extra points and field goals attempted. At his time at OU he became Oklahoma's first-ever Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year, as well as a Two-time Academic/All-Big 12 first team, and was a 2015 semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award. Austin impressively set a school record of 162 consecutive made PATs from 2016-18. As a rookie last year with the Cleveland Browns Austin went 25 for 29 with an 86% percent success rate, and kicked a 53 yarder for his longest kick of the season.
