It's bonus time before we hit the end of year listravaganza. In truth I am testing out a couple of potential new segments. First Up, Lesser Bangs where I bash the venerated critic and highlight a song, album, or artist who is forgotten, unsung or non-traditionally heavy but should be celebrated. This installment its Generation Terrorists by Manic Street Preachers.

Second Segment: Billboard, bangers, bashers, blasts, ball crushers, something like that... Here I look back at the history of the Top 40 singles charts for the current week (This installment it's the 4th week in November) and attempt to pick out the heaviest (definition is subjective and ill-defined) tracks from the years 1968 (proto-metal inception point) to the present moment.
