Hi, I’m Gemma and after graduating with a degree in Creative and Media Writing I thought I wanted to become a journalist… I was wrong! I am now a Marketing Director for a start-up company, but when I first started my career journey I never would have pictured that this is where I would end up. In this episode, I’ll tell you how I built my career (with zero marketing experience), things I would look for in a graduate’s CV and tools you can learn (for free) to enhance your employment prospects.

.....and I'm Sarah Finley - a freelance journalist and editor who had written and worked for the BBC, Evening Standard, Femail and Woman and Home magazine. I started my career in journalism after a postgraduate degree in magazine journalism, where I found that networking, having a side hustle (my dating blog) and even travelling helped to build my career. I also talk about how a stint working in PR made me better at my job.
