A side note from Maddie: Seeing one of the strongest women in my life absolutely floored by a life-altering series of events which all unfolded following a tiny, throw-away thought about boobs left me truly rethinking the severity of the perils of womanhood. Whether it's the never-ending chase of some unattainable standard or the constant narrative that we need to Be MORE. Be sexier. Be prettier. Be Skinnier. Despite how we look being quite literally the least interesting thing about us, women are making ill-informed, social-media dictated, LIFE THREATENING decisions just to feel like they're good enough. When in reality, for the sake of our friendships and our relationships all we really need to do is Be. Be Ourselves. Be Kind. Be alive. Thank God Molly is okay (she'll see this when the ep goes live) but how many women aren't? X
