Patryce Sheppard is a speaker, author, entrepreneur, and founder of Faith in the Fight, an
organization dedicated to fostering awareness and education about the importance of early
detection for survival of breast cancer. Diagnosed in 2017 after discovering a lump during her
monthly self-breast exam, Patryce has committed her life to advocating, educating and
advocating for early detection and helping newly diagnosed women also discover faith in the
fight against breast cancer. She has earned accolades for her dedication to activism on behalf of
breast cancer support and awareness. In 2018, she received the Against All Odds award from Joy
and Company, also the annual Survivor Award from Women with 20/20 Vision. In 2019, she
received the annual Rooted in the Community from Spirit Award and the Advocate of the Year
Award from the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Patryce holds speaking engagements around
the country, sharing her story and advocating for breast cancer awareness and the benefits and
possibilities of insurance policies. She is the author of Doing it Differently: An empowering
approach to thriving through breast cancer and lives in Dallas with her son, Bakari.
