Briana Marela is back, ladies and gentlemen. Coming off a 2-month tour throughout the entire United States, the experimental artist has graced audiences with several live arrangements of her latest project, Inner Rest.

The Oakland-based artist has dropped three projects since our last conversation. The first was Teardrop Star, a hazy and atmospheric alternative pop album that touches on Briana’s challenges with patience and long-term planning. Next was her full-length project Inner Rest, a far more meditative experience, where Briana was ruminating on themes of self-doubt, grief, and her identity as an artist. The third and final new project was actually a reissue, the 10 year anniversary of her stellar sophomore project, All Around Us.
