BRINGING THE KINGDOM, CRAFTING OUR SOULS

In Baptism we promise to “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving [our] neighbors as [ourselves]” and to “strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.”  In this time of national crisis, it is a Christian imperative to insist that American policy and practices regarding immigrants, including at detention centers, be humane and “respect the dignity of every human being” for their sake, and for the sake of our very souls.
