Broncos Activate Linebacker Reid for Playoffs
Update: 2026-01-06
Description
The Denver Broncos have activated rookie linebacker Karene Reid from injured reserve, adding depth to their linebacker group ahead of the NFL playoffs. Reid, an undrafted free agent, had been sidelined with a hamstring injury but returned to practice in December. To make room on the roster, the Broncos waived offensive tackle Geron Christian and tight end Marcedes Lewis, and promoted quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad. They also re-signed safety Tanner McCalister to the practice squad. With these moves, the Broncos are now fully staffed and ready for the playoffs.
