Broncos Elevate Ehlinger, Activate Powers, Add Turner-Yell
Update: 2025-12-21
Description
The Denver Broncos made strategic roster moves ahead of their Week sixteen game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They elevated quarterback Sam Ehlinger and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell from the practice squad, and activated left guard Ben Powers from injured reserve. Ehlinger, a former Colts draft pick, has been serving as the emergency third quarterback and has shown improvement in his arm strength and efficiency. Turner-Yell, a second-year player, provides depth at safety and on special teams, filling in for the injured Brandon Jones. Powers, who has been out since October with a biceps issue, will be eased back into the starting left guard spot with limited snaps against the Jaguars. These moves give the Broncos more flexibility as they navigate the late season stretch.
