In this first episode of our podcast, we go over a variety of topics by sharing personal stories that are both shocking and laughable. The host of this episode is Abi; she talks with her guests Nico - A Hungarian American-, and Mohammed Ali - Persian born and raised-, who share their unique experiences with living in Hungary. Mohammed shares a personal story about the adversities of leaving his home country Iran to arrive in Hungary, the strict rules and regulations for acquiring a visa and opening a bank account. They dig deeper into the topic of living in Budapest and getting used to Hungarian culture, learning the language, finding accommodation, safety, and transportation. Lastly, they share valuable insights and personal stories on how to get by in Budapest as a foreigner, including places to go, things to do, and restaurants to eat. In this episode, the trio find solace in their common struggles, as well as engage in each others’ unique stories.
