To address the current shortage of old straight white male comedians complaining about everything on stages across America, Brian McDowell has returned to stand-up comedy after a long absence. Born in Memphis and raised in St. Louis, McDowell performed in comedy clubs around the country before temporarily retiring to write an award-winning humor column for a small-town newspaper in Kansas.
Upon his comeback to the comedy stage, the hard-working comic has been bowling audiences over and placing highly in several comedy contests with his clever material and ranting style.
Called “half-crazed and wholly hilarious” by the St. Louis Post Dispatch, McDowell’s goal is to deliver entertainment everywhere, from coffeehouses and small bars to some of the country’s most esteemed comedy clubs.
